Anna Apartments Maries is located in the small mountain village of Maries, 33 km from Kavala. Potos is 9 km away, offers a unique choice for spending a relaxing holiday on Thassos. Far from all of the busy hustle and bustle of everyday life, Maries is a place of beauty and charm that offers a very quiet and traditional environment that is restful and calm, where anyone can let go of their stress and finally discover peace of mind.

We are the only accommodation in the village of Maries, in a convenient location just next to the village center where there is a small restaurants and cafes. We offer two 1-bedroom apartments that can sleep 2-5 people each and one 3-bedroom apartment that can sleep 6-8 people. Every apartment is tastefully furnished and offer all of the modern day appliances you need with a traditional feel.

Just 5 minutes drive away is the Lake of Maries, popular among the tourists to visit. We are also on the route that goes to Mt. Ipsario, the tallest mountain peak on Thassos from which the views are absolutely breath-taking. There are many beautiful sandy beaches just a 15 minute drive away, connected by a good network of safe asphalt road.

Skala Maries - Thassos

The picturesque small harbour village of Skala Maries spreads over three bays and virtually the entire village embraces these three small and welcoming sandy beaches.

The first and largest bay at the entrance to the village, Platanes Beach, overlooks the Aegean Sea and has fine shingle sand. Then, walking up the street that runs along the entire village, one reaches the small harbour at the heart of the village, Skala Maries Beach. This is the second small bay, providing a home for all kinds of boats of the locals who use them to catch the fresh fish that is available for all to enjoy in the local traditional tavernas. Continuing down the same road, but moving uphill again, one arrives at the the third bay, the fabulously shallow and sandy Atspas Beach.

The bay formed here, just at the exit of the village with fine golden sand and crystal waters, gives visitors the opportunity for a swim on a beach not very organized, or cosmopolitan, yet very beautiful and with a marvellous sunset.
