Villa Ylenia or Philoxenia ( the greek world for hospitality) is a five star Luxury Villa!!! Overlooking the Ionian Sea from a panoramic position, this brand-new villa ( April 2015) offers the highest standards of quality and luxury, at the outskirts of village Lakithra in Kefalonia.

Accommodation

This private luxurious villa has large spacious lounge areas with large windows opening into a very large veranda for relaxing summer entertaining.There is a large infinity swimming pool with jacuzzi, in the garden. The main villa has 3 bedrooms and 3 en-suite bathrooms with shower and at the studio house, next to the main house, there is another bedroom, bathroom with shower and fully equipped kitchen. Cleaning and linen/towel change is done on the day of the arrival, and once more during the one-week stay.

The private garden and the large swimming pool (5,50mX11,30m), are surrounded by well tended lawn with olive trees. A terrace connects to the spacious living room and dining area, and the modern fully equipped kitchen.

The terrace offers a spacious outside sitting area with very elegant furniture, where you can enjoy relaxing by the pool with a wonderful sea view. You can also see the island of Zante and the villages of Livathos on the horizon.

At the side of the swimming pool, under the pergola, at a large table is the ideal place to enjoy leisurely al fresco dining .

Lakithra - Kefalonia

Lakithra is a traditional Kefalonian village close to Argostoli which does not go into hibernation at the close of the summer season. Its bakery, kafeneion and some of the restaurants are open all year round. It is a village rather than a 'resort'. With its easy access to local beaches it has an influx of tourism in the summer months.

From Lakithra, travelling through Kourkoumelata and Sarlata you will come to Svoronata village which is the gateway to the beaches of Avithos, Ai Helis and Ammes. From Sarlata the beaches of Minies are close by and a little further on, en route to Argostoli you have a selection of beaches at Platis Yialos, Makris Yialos as well as the smaller beaches of Lassi. A ten to fifteen minute drive will bring you to any of the above beaches so you are spoilt for choice
